Background & Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Communication officer to implement the internal communications strategy to provide effective communication of relevant corporate information to staff, volunteers and stakeholders
  • Assist Communication officer to develop internal communication strategies and plans for specific activity to staff, volunteers and stakeholders to meet specified communications objectives
  • Assist Communication officer to build a culture where two-way internal communication is seen as fundamental and integral to the success of the organization and its staff, and where communication is seen as the duty of every staff member
  • Assist Communication officer to continually evaluate the success of internal communications, working with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Assist Communication officer to Draft key messages for target audiences
  • Assist Communication officer to research, plan and implement a range of high profile events and conferences, including the staff conference, AGM and others
  • Assist Communication officer to Undertake risk assessments for conference and events to ensure risks are appropriately managed
  • Assist Communication officer for Working and negotiating with external suppliers and venues to provide the best value for money
  • Assist Communication officer to provide a communications plan for each event detailing target audience and plans for reaching them
  • Assist Communication officer to Provide knowledge, support and expertise in audio-visual presentations for staff
  • Assist Communication officer to Write and edit copy (ranging from news reports and features to interviews and letter text) for various publications and materials (both print and online), including staff magazine, volunteer and supporter magazine, the Annual Review, staff e-newsletter
  • Assist Communication officer to implement, develop and project manage a range of communication activities and initiatives including manager briefings
  • Assist Communication officer to Maintain and moderate information and user engagement channels including staff intranet
  • Assist Communication officer to complete agreed programs of work, meet challenging targets, deadlines and standards of performance as agreed with line manager
  • Assist Communication officer to ensure public views the organization favorably.
  • Assist Communication officer to develop strong relationships with media reps.
  • Assist Communication officer to develop delivery and packaging plans for corporate messages.
  • Assist Communication officer to develop internal publications such as newsletters, releases, email announcements, planned publications, on-line, intranet, video, special projects and assignments.
  • Assist Communication officer to create rich and creative content that is optimized for search engines.
  • Assist Communication officer for Creating web design, development, and content and managing web TV.
  • Ensure he/she is familiar with documents and case studies.
  • Take responsibility to enhance social media expertise.
  • Assist Communication officer for continual professional development to keep Shirakat up to date with new developments.
Requirements and Skills

The intern for communication Section is expected to have a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or relevant professional qualification.

Interest in media field,

Keen to learn  

Must be aware of social media and it management

Good written and verbal communications skills

Must have a positive attitude with good multitasking and organizational ability

Fluency in English and Urdu
