Background & Description
  • Responsibilities:
  • Appraising the project activities, progress reports (both narrative and financial) and streamlining the regional work and documentation
  • Contribute in generating periodic regional quality analytical reports and sharing it with MER department
  • Proper data management including published materials and ensuring quality information is feed into MIS.
  • Facilitate the smooth setting up of MIS and its maintenance, and tracking and troubleshooting
  • Guide local partners in establishing baseline of key performance indicators as per agreed LFM
  • Building capacity of programme team and partners on agreed tools of MER like tracking the change, result oriented activities, linkages of activities with results, etc
  • Building capacity of regional programme team and partners on research on local issues, analysis of research data, analytical report writing, etc
  • Review / comment on any qualitative surveys, studies by partners
  • Facilitating MER team at Islamabad for the midterm reviews, evaluations, baseline studies and research related to programme
  • Ensures that learning is shared effectively between SPO partners, and across the SPO programmes at regional level
  • Adhere to SPO policies and promote participatory culture and demonstrate SPO’s values
  • Any other duties as required

 

Requirements and Skills

Qualification and Experience

  • Preferably fresh graduates in social sciences
  • Excellent command on written English
  • Excellent command of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment

Since its transformation from a bilateral development project of the governments of Pakistan and Canada to a national not-for-profit organization in 1994, registered under the Companies Ordinance 1984; Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) has become the leading Pakistani rights-based civil society organization, in terms of its countrywide presence and outreach. SPO’s thematic areas are substantiated by the organization’s expertise on social mobilization, advocacy and capacity building.

SPO operates through nine permanent offices that include one National Centre and two Regional Offices each in Balochistan (Turbat & Quetta), Khyber Pukhtunnkhwa (D.I. Khan & Peshawar), Punjab (Multan & Lahore) and Sindh (Hyderabad & Karachi). National Centre is managed by five support departments including Finance, Internal Audit, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting, Admin and Human Resource, and three project management units, namely, Technical Support Unit, Special Projects Unit, and Emergency Preparedness and Response Unit.
