Background & Description

Responsibilities: 

To have overall responsibility for ensuring the smooth implementation of the annual work plans of the Program Development Department (PDD) pertaining to the development of Expression of Interests, Concept Notes, Proposals along with the budgets with the support of program and other support departments/ functions of the organization. 

  • Facilitate relationship-cultivation with donor agencies to get their buy in for current and new initiatives.
  • Prepare and Review guidelines, templates and formats for documentation of proposals and concept notes, case studies, best practices and lessons learnt.
  • Prepare, supervise and ensure quality check of developed Expression of Interest(EOIs), Concept Notes, Proposals, Case Studies, Lessons Learnt and Best Practices from program and project reviews
  • Ensure the solicited/non-solicited EOIs, Concept Notes, and Proposals through negotiations with the donor agencies.
  • Identify, mobilize and forge strategic partnerships to effectively seek large scale funding for projects.
  • Provide necessary technical assistance to the regional offices and project staff in developing, fine tuning and finalizing EOIs, proposals, concept notes.
  • Supervise and ensure outsourcing of any work to the consultants related to PDD proposals on need basis.
  • Supervise designing and implementation of the research studies on need basis with the Program development department
  • Provide necessary guidance for abridging best practices at the field level with donor reports and proposals.
  • Represent the PDD in senior management meetings and forums within and outside the organizations
  • Participate in presentations about the PDD in Board and SMC meetings and to other key stakeholders as required

Coordination Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate closely with other programme teams at regional and National level for building synergies and affective delivery of the PDD annual targets related to EOIs, Concept Notes, proposal and partnerships.
  • In consultation with supervisor, coordinate work with external agencies
Requirements and Skills

 

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment.
  • Should be able to independently prioritize tasks and meet short deadlines, including approvals process.
  • Excellent command of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrable writing and editing skills.
Education
Qualification: Minimum Master’s degree in social sciences from an accredited university.
Experience: • At least 7 year’s experience in Program Development and Management in an INGOs and NGOs working on development. • Extensive Knowledge and experience of working/interaction with the donor community social development sector of Pakistan.
