Responsibilities: 

  • Provide support to the project manager in collecting relevant information;
  • Facilitate in fixing meetings and other events between all internal and external stakeholders of project including line department, government officials, DDMAs and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Community mobilization through right based social mobilization approach;
  • Conduct and report field based designed project activities while obtaining desired output and results;
  • Develop and share daily progress reports with Project Officer,
  • To work with school and community for the roll-out of agreed project activities; Formation of Village committees and child clubs.
  • Conduct the process of community mobilization and form Village Disaster Management Committee;
  • Conduct Capacity building programs at school and community level for VDMCs and also cover Hazard, Risk, Vulnerability and Capacity assessment (HRVCA);
  • Provide technical support to the Village Disaster Management Committees in conducting Hazard, Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment and also develop report;
  • Facilitate the process of integration of Children Clubs plans into CBDM Plans;
  • Facilitate VDMC in implementation of small level mitigation projects as identified in CBDM plans.
  • Organize regular drills and awareness raising events at the community level involving all stakeholders
  • Assist Project Manager in mobilization of school for awareness raising campaign
  • Assist Project Manager in awareness raising campaign for earthquake early warning equipment;
  • Keep regular record of field activities (daily & weekly) and submit fortnightly reports to Project Manager;
  • Keep a close liaison with the communities through meetings with them on a monthly basis;
  • Facilitate capacity building training programs at community level and assist other project staff in capacity building of UCDMCs and District DMC;
  • Under takes any other tasks assigned by supervisor;
Education
Qualification: Master in Social Science
Experience: 02 years DRR, Child Protection experience
