Background & Description

Job description:

The male cleaner will be responsible for the overall cleaning of BHU (excluding accommodation quarters) during the morning hours (08:00 AM to 02:00 PM). The male cleaner will thoroughly clean the health facility twice in a day, once in the morning before start of OPD services and secondly at the end OPD services. Male cleaner will thoroughly clean the BHU by removing spider webs, broom floors/ground, do the dusting of windows, doors & furniture and mopping. He will throw trash from all bins into incinerator and outside the BHU into main garbage bin as per the category of trash generated. He will clean all the washrooms in BHU properly and regularly on daily basis. After putting the trash into incinerator, he will burn it on daily basis.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Broom and clean BHU regularly on daily basis;

·         Perform dusting of tables, chairs, cupboards, shelves, windows, doors & walls on daily basis;

·         Clean thoroughly all washrooms in BHU;

·         Empty all garbage bins and properly dispose of the trash regularly;

·         Broom/wash BHU yard/premises daily;

·         Clean spider webs in a routine on daily basis;

·         Keep BHU clean & tidy during his working hours;

·         Wash all dusters and mops with detergent, Dettol and water on daily basis after use;

·         Maintain physical inventory/record of cleaning supplies and toiletries;

·         Submit regular consumption report of consumable cleaning items to his supervisor on weekly basis;

·         Take good care of cleaning equipment/items, handle them gently and use carefully;

·         Handle health facility equipment/assets gently and carefully;

·         Provide support services to Dispenser in unloading and loading of medicine/consumables/equipment;

Punctual/regular in his duties;
Attend staff weekly meeting at BHU and monthly meeting at project office;
Immediately inform his Supervisor/Project office in case of an emergency;
Respect organizational policies/rules and follow them in true soul and spirit;
Follow proper chain of command and communication lines within the organization;
Accomplish any other job related additional task (s) assigned by supervisor (s).
 

 

 

 

 

Requirements and Skills

Core Qualifications/Requirements:

1.     At least primary pass;

2.     Experience working as a cleaner at least for three (03) years;

3.     Working experience in a similar position with INGO/UN

4.     Understands and speaks Pashto and Urdu;

5.     Ability to work under difficult circumstances;

6.     Honest, committed and flexible in attitude;

7.     A good team player;

Education
