Background & Description

Initiative for Peace & Development (IPAD) is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit organization working in Pakistan on the issues associated with peace and development. IPAD is currently recruiting for position in its Multan office. Successful candidates will meet the education and experience requirements mentioned in Job description.  

Requirements and Skills

Admin and Finance Officer will work in close coordination with the field team under the supervision of Project Director.

He/ She will supervise and manage all day-to-day office administrative activities. Coordinating with Travel Agencies for Airlines, Hotel bookings and rent –a-car arrangements for employees and guests. Organize and book venues for various conferences, seminars, meetings and trainings. Ensure that the office is adequately equipped with necessary supplies and equipment. Supervise the office stationary store, including ordering and distribution of stationery supplies and basic office equipment in coordination with Head of Office. Ensure that office equipment, air conditioners, and generators kept in optimum working order, through correct usage and periodic maintenance. Ensure timely communication with Head Office on staff employment changes that include but not limited to; resignations, terminations, leave applications, time sheets and other personnel related information. Ensure forecasting and timely processing of petty cash requests to Head Office. Maintain petty cash account and ensure safety and security of cash in Office. Ensure deduction of withholding taxes and timely deposit into govt. treasury. Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive files / contracts. Maintain and update computerized and manual filing systems. Process and document incoming and outgoing correspondence. Perform other duties and tasks assigned by supervisors.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. Familiarity with local languages and customs and tradition will be an advantage. He/she must have ability to take initiative, work under pressure, and manage multiple tasks. Organizational skills including demonstrated proficiency at document management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.


Relevant University degree with Minimum two years of relevant work experience.

Community awareness campaigns run on choking financing for terrorists and terrorist organizations in Southern Punjab. Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage (MoIB) and Pakistan. Telecommunication Authority (PTA) have attended conferences and sessions organized by IPAD. IPAD believes in sustainable development through involvement of all stakeholders. Each stakeholder needs to do their part i.e. Government, local community, CSOs.
