Under the overall guidance of PAIDAR Programme Manager and direct supervision of National Programme Coordinator, National Technical Advisor, National Communications Experts, Gender Expert, and in close collaboration with PAIDAR team, the expert will be responsible for the performance of the following main duties:
MAIN DUTIES
- Support in developing a comprehensive communication plan which will outline the communication objectives, target audiences, preferred channels, and frequency of updates to ensure effective communication and alignment of expectations among PAIDAR team members.
- Support the Communication Expert in design and production of communication materials: Create and deliver high-quality visuals for digital channels, presentations, publications, GIFs, icons, logos, infographics, and branded templates, ensuring a cohesive and consistent visual identity. Align all designs with PAIDAR, UNIDO, and donor brand guidelines to effectively enhance programme visibility and stakeholder engagement.
- Under the guidance of Communication Expert, develop and coordinate content for social media channels, ensuring regular updates and real-time posts on project activities and events. Monitor and maintain a consistent flow of visibility through posts, photos, and videos on a weekly basis. Support the creation and dissemination of key messages and digital campaigns to promote program visibility and stakeholder engagement.
- Review, edit, and proofread existing communication materials, including brochures, presentations and newsletters, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with strategic goals. Assist in developing compelling content such as key messages, success stories, and thematic updates to showcase programme achievements.
- Coordinate with external vendors, such as designers, photographers, and printers, to ensure the timely and quality production of communication materials. Provide logistical and communications support for events, including preparing materials, managing visibility items, and ensuring documentation of activities.
- Train programme team members on digital tools, social media strategies, and content creation techniques to enhance communication efforts. Act as a focal point for coordinating communication-related tasks across departments.
- Contribute to the design and execution of creative campaigns to promote PAIDAR’s thematic areas, including rural development, climate resilience, community infrastructure, and livelihoods. Develop innovative ideas for outreach and advocacy materials to engage diverse audiences.
- Regularly update and manage the project website with new content, visuals, and reports. Organize and maintain a digital repository of photographs, videos, and communication materials, tagging them for thematic relevance.
- Prepare a final report of the assignment including the analysis and observations made in the deliverables as well as recommendations.
Education: Advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in communication, journalism, public/media relations, international relations or other relevant discipline required.
Technical and Functional Experience:
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Fluency and/or working knowledge of Urdu is desirable.
