Background & Description

Job Purpose:

Social Mobilization & implementation of Project activities.

The following are the main responsibilities that the role holder will be accountable for:

      •Formation of community organization (CO) and subcommittee in the project area as per need

  • Capacity building of the community organization through orientation and in-house trainings.
    • Resolve conflict among the target community through effective dialogue.
    • Preparation of village development plan (VDP) through using different PRA tools.
    • Conduction of feasibility assessment surveys of identified and prioritized needs by community in VDP relevant to WASH sector.
    • Ensure inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized groups in project interventions.
    • Ensure sustainability and maintenance of project interventions through maintaining saving habits in community.
    • Proper record keeping of project activities and maintaining village committee record registers.
    • To keep Internal and external coordination when required.
    • Conduct regular meeting with community organizations and ensure community ownership in project activities.
    • Conduct regular awareness rising session for mobilization and organization.
    • Provide data to maintain a regular database system of project monitoring and evaluation.
    • Ensure all activities to field work are compliant with regulations and implemented in a timely and effective manner.
    • Consult with the supervisor regarding appropriate adjustments in program design or implementation strategies.
    • Assist and facilitate project staff at field level for smooth implementation of project activities.
    • Develop case studies to reflect project impacts.
    • Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly work plans.
    • Ensure the timely submission of technical and activities reports.
    • Have to plan and design small tasks as and when required.
    • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
    • Perform any task assigned by supervisor as and when required.
Requirements and Skills

PERSON SPECIFICATION
It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with Islamic values and principles as well as commitment to Islamic Relief Worldwide vision, mission and core values.

 

Experience:
The candidate must have 6 months experience with Master and/or Bachelor with 1 years of experience.

 

Computer Skills:
• Ability to gather data, compiles information, and prepares reports.
• Command on MS Office, use of internet and emails
• Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures
Language:
Urdu, English and local languages

• Organizational and coordination skills.

Education

Graduate preferably Master Degree holder in social science.
