Background & Description

Purpose of Job:

This position is responsable to ensure that the HelpAge International Pakistan Office Staff/visitors receives nutritious and healthy meals/tea on a regular basis and to ensure that the kitchen area is kept clean, hygienic and tidy at all times.

Job Activities:

Prepare and serve tea, Breakfast, lunch and dinner on daily basis for staff and visitors.

  • Maintain physical inventory records of food/tea items and submit regular expenditure reports to HR/administration Assistant.
  • Maintain and clean kitchen facilities/ kitchen and dining area hygienically.
  • Purchase food and tea items through competitive and market price.
  • Arrange and cook for official functions.
  • Supervise and cook for the official parties.
  • Ensure that there is always sufficient stock of good drinking water available by boiling, cooling and filtering water from the water container.
  • Ensure that all dishes and cooking implements are washed thoroughly with warm soapy water before use.
  • To limit the quantity of oil used in the cooking process
  • Help in loading/unloading and packing when required.
  • Any other task assigned by Supervisor
Requirements and Skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least Middle school pass with 3-4 years of total experience where 1-2 years work experience with INGOs/NGOs.
  • Good behaviour and well manner
  • Highly dedicated and motivated for the organization
  • Understanding of English language and spoken Urdu language is must.
