Background & Description

Job Description:

  • The key purpose of this position is to assist and support program communication needs.
  • Under the overall guidance of Program Director and Communication Manager of organization, graphic designer will work closely to produce graphic design of the communication material requested. In particular, the graphic designer will:
    • Transform text-based communications materials into visual graphic design materials such as infographic, brochures, backdrop etc.
    • Develop designs for communication materials based on assignment brief
    • Provide recommendations on the best and most relevant visual design style and materials suitable for the targeted audience of the organization
  • Examples of deliverables are:
    • Project brochures
    • Project infographics
    • Project factsheets
    • Project Leaflets
    • Project Posters
    • Visuals for social media campaigns
    • Layout design for project reports
    • Design for project communications collaterals such as: notepad, dug bag, backdrop, banners, t-shirts/hats, cards, calendars, etc.
    • Design for project’s presentations
    • Custom photo and video editing (restoration, noise reduction, tonal adjustment)
  • The responsibilities will be required to be produced in a variety of formats including for digital and print distribution, depending on the needs of various projects of organization.
  • The website management and maintenance will be added advantage.
Requirements and Skills

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or any other related qualifications including art and design.

Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of work experience in graphic design in development sector organization, consultant firms, and agency.
  • Strong theoretical and practical background in graphic design, including the use of design software such as Adobe Design Premium, In-Design, CorelDraw, or similar; At least 3 examples of previous works to be listed.
  • Knowledge of how to present information to different audiences, including media.
  • Proven writing, editing, web design, videography, or photography skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in program communication, development of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) material.
  • Ability to produce analytical and well-presented reports and publications.
  • A proven ability to effectively manage relationships with media representatives, government officials, community groups and consortium partners.
  • Skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Desktop Publisher and other graphics software is required.

 

  • Proven experience of graphic production from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes (offset and digital) and color management; At least 3 examples of previous works should be demonstrated
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English and Urdu.
