On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), GIZ will implement the project “Strengthening Education and Health Services for Refugees and Host Communities (EHS)” in three selected districts of the province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The project aims to support the Pakistani partners to strengthen access to public education and health services in refugee-hosting communities. To this end, the project will strengthen sector governance in education and health, and support co-operation between the Chief Commissioner for Afghan Refugees and subnational government structures. In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and its principle Leave No One Behind (LNOB), the project focuses on improving the access to public services for vulnerable groups, including Afghan refugees, women, youth and persons with disabilities.
Learning Areas
Learn to maintain the record of project data, documents, and correspondence with project partners
Learn to assist the team leader and the admin team (service unit) in the day-to-day operations of the project office
Acquire knowledge of supporting the EHS Advisors in organizing project events, workshops, trainings, and official meetings
Understand how to extend support in the facilitation of field visits and monitoring visits conducted by the EHS project staff
Get acquainted with supporting the Advisors and the Team Leader in the analysis of primary and secondary data related to project activities
Learn to assist in the drafting of concept notes and papers of project activities/work packages and their summaries
Develop an understanding of collecting updates for the monthly newsletter, monthly progress reviews, and other periodic reviews of the EHS project
Become well versed in assisting with the review and proof reading of project reports, training materials, and visibility items
Requirements
The interested candidate should have completed (within 12 months) or in the process of completing bachelor's or master's degree in relevant field
Either no comparable experience in the related field or not more than 11 months of internship / job experience after graduation
Excellent working knowledge of ICT and computer applications (e.g. MS Office, MS Teams, etc.)
