Background & Description

Job Purpose

To increase Oxfam’s programme impact in Pakistan by working under the supervision of the Govt

Liaison officer, to enable growth and excellent programme quality across long-term development, humanitarian and influencing interventions in line with Oxfam program standards.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

  • Maintains proper filing of all government related documents and record.
  • Assist in writing government affairs reports.
  • Monitor local government meeting agendas.
  • Assistance for arrangement of visas and travel permits (NOCs) etc. for all expat staff.
  • Ensure staff arriving in Pakistan, plus visitors, are met and provided with assistance to ensure they are welcomed, inducted to HR and security department on the arrival in office.
  • Maintain and update travel request and tracks during travel.
  • Keep supervisor informed about the potential visitors, assist in arranging reception and tracking result.
  • Facilitate programmatic visits by guiding and supporting visas and NOC for their trips and field.
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor.
Requirements and Skills
  • Graduate or Master’s degree from any recognised University of Pakistan.
  • Fresh Graduate.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Interpersonal awareness, critical information gathering, good communication skills and ability to work with organization effectively.
  • Strong coordination skills and flexible.
  • Computer literate, especially good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Knowledge of any provincial language will be an added advantage
