Background & Description

Unpaid Internships 

Program:

Internee will assist program manager PVDP in establishment of Training and data record unit at PVDP head office level. She will also assist PVDP MEAL officer in order to develop information education and communication materials for the projection of PVDP intervention.

Finance:

Internee will assist Finance officer/Manager PVDP, liquidating various project finances on PVDP financial software “General Ledger”. Assist finance manager in development of audit committee and doing internal audits.

Human Resource (HR):

Assist HR officer in PVDP head office, ensuring that all endorsed policies are implementing smoothly, suggest any desire policy based on current practices, maintain all personal files both in hard and soft of PVDP employees. Assist HR officer handling various complaints lodged on PVDP Complaint Response System.  Run PVDP Facebook and tweeter pages and regularly update PVDP website in close consultation with relevant person in PVDP.

Requirements and Skills

Program: MA/MSc in Social Sciences or equivalent (MS Office, Data Feeding and Adobe Photoshop)

Finance: MBA Finance and M.Com or equivalent (MS Office, Accounting Software, Data Feeding)

HR: MBA HRM or equivalent (MS Office and Data Feeding)

About Organization

Pakistan Village Development Program (PVDP) is a Non Governmental Organization registered under Societies Act 1860 (Reg. No. 3226/5/2813). The organization since its establishment in 1999, works for “ building a just civil society by harnessing the creative energies of poor and underprivileged”. This aim is achieved with the close collaboration of partner communities and development organizations through a participatory, demand responsive, gender and poverty sensitive integrated development approach in the Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. PVDP interventions mainly focus on achievements in domains/program areas including, Human & Institutional Development, Education, Primary/Reproductive Health Care, HIV&AIDS, WASH, Food Security, DRR, Economic and women Empowerment and Humanitarian Response.  

These programs have been executed in collaboration with UNICEF, UNWFP, UNOCHA, UNFPA, CRS, NCA, Trocaire, World Vision, Peshawar Dioceses, AusAID, Interact World Wide, FHI/USAID, Muslim Care, Give2Asia/PCP, ICMC, Rutger, CIDA, Global Fund and National AIDS Control Program.

 

In Human and Institutional Development, and Human Rights advocacy the geographic focus is local to national level. While PVDP sectorial programmatic interventions are implemented in the central, southern and northern districts of KP,AJK and FATA. The focused districts include Peshawar, Charsadda, Buner, Dir, Swat, Kohat, Karak, Mansehra, Shangla, Battagram, Kohistan, Bagh, Kahota and Muzaffarabad. Activities in FATA are implemented directly and through a network of local partners in Khybar, Mohmand and Kurram Agency.
