MALC provides free treatment services for Leprosy, TB, Blindness, and Mother & Child Health Care to poor communities in the slum areas of Karachi. We have also recently expanded our community-based development initiatives through our centres across the city, with a special focus on children with neurodevelopmental disabilities at our MRC Centre.
Additionally, MALC operates four (04) project schools in the suburbs of Karachi (Manghopir, Khamiso Goth, Adam Goth, and Gadap), and implements Mother and Child Health initiatives in two selected clinics.
Training in safeguarding and child protection is particularly essential for teachers and parents of children studying in marginalized areas across the city, as they may face heightened risks of neglect abuse, or exploitation due to socio-economic challenges. Strong awareness and clear protection practices help create a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow without fear or harm. It is our firm belief that by empowering teachers and parents with the knowledge to identify, prevent, and respond to concerns, we are laying the foundation for healthy development and educational success. Furthermore, elements of mental health awareness will be incorporated throughout the training.
