Support in information gathering and coordinating information collection processes for the Humanitarian and Resilience Unit to support generation of regular and quality information products and reporting.
Provide technical support for analysis of data as well as visualization for presentation to internal and external counterparts (such as handouts, gap analysis, power point presentation) and reporting to donors as required.
Regularly inform the Programme Coordinator regarding activities, project status, and provide regular support as required
Maintain contact with relevant humanitarian and development counterparts and implementing partners in line with regular or special needs.
Compile documents or regular updates for inputting into the humanitarian projects, activities, situation reports, briefing and background information required by the donors, inter-agency coordination groups and other entities.
Liaise with UN agencies, sectoral coordination groups and participate in IM Network meetings as required.
Coordinate information management requests with the relevant partner teams in the field.
Provide support for needs assessment and analysis, including adequate attention given to the needs and challenges by gender and of vulnerable groups.
Support adequate levels of information sharing between internal units, programme partners, IOM and other humanitarian response actors.
Track all donor reporting requirements and provide alerts to implementing partner reporting/IM focal points for regular reporting.
Stay up to date regarding assessments and reports produced by other agencies and organizations and extract relevant and important information for reference and use by the programme
Ensure gender and protection against sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) guidance is taken into account and mainstreamed throughout the area of responsibility
Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience;
Experience in liaising with government authorities, inter-governmental institutions, UN agencies and national and international NGOs;
Demonstrated experience and understanding of the humanitarian and resilience building context in Pakistan, and of the vulnerabilities experienced by vulnerable populations;
Experience of the use of information management in emergency operations context;
Expertise of Esri ArcGIS software and other GIS-related software;
Documented experience of using system analysis methods and data modelling tools, relational databases and object-oriented programming would be an advantage;
Experience using two or more of the following tools: Access, Visual Basic, Java, SQL or Oracle;
Experience in the development and implementation of population database systems (such as registrations, census or surveys).

IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
