Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The purpose of the job is to deliver a direct, partly operational, partly analytical and supporting contribution to the implementation of the Gender Action Learning System (GALS) in the “Marriage, no child’s play” project for Oxfam as part of the project. The project coordinator (GALS) coordinates and technically supports GALS capacity development trajectories with Partner Organizations and other project stakeholders to transform gender and power relations, contributing the social mobilization and community-led action against child marriage in communities. The Coordinator actively contributes to skills, confidence and internal motivation of Partner Organisations as well as community champions in Sindh and Punjab to change gender and power relations. The position holder is expected to have participatory facilitation skills and openness to learn and apply the mechanisms for individual Life Planning, community mobilization for change and win-win negotiation between marginalised people and power holders. The position holder also pro-actively contributes to MEL and communication about GALS in the project, working closely together with others in the Pakistan team as well as the Gender Justice team in The Hague who provide GALS technical support.
The position will be responsible to ensure effective and efficient Lead, coordinate and facilitate GALS capacity development trajectory with partners and other project stakeholders. Contribute to the coherent implementation of project activities for delivery of the project results, coordinate and liaise with relevant country teams in Oxfam, implementation partners and other key stakeholders.
We are expecting regularly coordination with the communications, projects/programme teams for disseminating research publications to various stakeholders and target audience in the form of surveys, case studies or research reports. As part of an integrated team, contribute towards planning and writing concept notes/proposals to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization.
