Background & Description

The Role

We are looking for Programme Coordinator Women Voice and Leader-Pakistan who will ensure effective project inception and implementation with overall responsibility for reporting and compliance with the donor contract and requirements. The PC is the external face of the Project and responsible for engagement with partners, stakeholders, including (future) donors and Government. The PC will lead a program team comprised of Program Officers and Monitoring and Evaluation officers.  The PC provides strategic leadership to key project processes, ensuring performance, quality and compliance standards are met, manage strategic partnerships, including with Oxfam Canada and lead efforts to increase for women’s rights in Pakistan. The PC indirectly contributes to further developing Oxfam in Pakistan’s programming on Gender Justice. The PC reports to the Programme Director, and works closely with other Senior Management team members.  

Women’s rights expertise, as well as strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills will be key success factors for this position.

The Team Leader is the external face of the Project and responsible for engagement with partners, stakeholders, including (future) donors and Government. The PC will closely work with program team comprised of Program Officers, MEAL officers and Finance Officer.  The PC will support Team Leader in providing key project processes, ensuring performance, quality and compliance standards are met, manage strategic partnerships and efforts to increase for women’s rights in Pakistan. The PC indirectly contributes to further developing Oxfam in Pakistan’s programming on Gender Justice. The Programme Coordinator will report to the Team Lead, and works closely with other project team members.

Requirements and Skills

Education:
 Masters’ degree in Social Sciences or a relevant degree from a recognised university
 Proven Knowledge of computerised systems and high degree of computer literacy including
Word, Excel, Power Point and statistical software in the collection, analysis and reporting
Experience
 Minimum of 04-05 years’ working experience of project management, monitoring, evaluation,
planning and implementation and partnership management with well-known and reputable
organisations.
 Over 3 years’ experience of working on donor-funded projects in gender justice
 Expertise in programme/project management in partnerships with private and civil society
organizations
 Proven working experience in large-scale project and programme development, implementation,
coordination, monitoring, evaluation and learning.
 Demonstrated understanding of gender-sensitive justice sector reform and inclusive security;
 Thematic knowledge of the programme area that are priority for Oxfam (Gender Justice) in
context of empowering women and girls, advance the protection of women’s and girls’ rights and
achieve gender equality.
