Aahung

Aahung is a non-profit organization founded in 1995. Its mission is to use a rights-based approach to improve access to quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information and services to contribute towards a healthy society.

Through capacity building and information dissemination, Aahung focuses on the creation of an enabling environment in Pakistan where people have comfort with their body, are practicing healthy behaviors and are able to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights. Aahung has been successful in developing culturally informed strategies to respond to the sexual health needs of the Pakistani population and in bringing attention to sexual health issues and concerns in medical and educational institutions, non-government and government organizations across Pakistan.

To contribute to the reduction in the prevalence of Child Sexual Abuse, RTIs, including HIV and Hepatitis and slowed population growth in Pakistan.

Specific Objective: Increased and improved RH programming in the public and private sectors of Pakistan.
