Arham Foundation

ARHAM FOUNDATION is functioning as a non-profitable organization under the control of the Board of Directors. It has a General Body comprising of members who would donate and contribute towards the upliftment and empowerment of the rural society, particularly for the socially and economically vulnerable. An executive body namely, the Board of Directors manages the functioning of the organization.  ALL DIRECTORS ARE HONORARY AND DO NOT DRAW ANY REMUNERATION OR BENEFITS FROM THE ORGANIZATION. The Board of Directors comprises seven members i.e. three representing Executive Body; and four members representing the General Body. The directors in General Body are elected for a stipulated term of three years.

OBJECTIVES

The aims an objective for which the ARHAM FOUNDATION is established are as follow:

(A)   HEALTH

• To establish, support and maintain and/or sponsor and provide means and facilities to manage, and run organizations, hospitals, medical research, BHU, whether in existence or to be established to undertake medical treatments and related research in the field of medicines and medical sciences on no profit basis.
• To provide health care facilities, medical centers, maternity homes, diagnostic labs and medical camps, ambulances and medical evacuation facilities at local level and in other cities.
• To held seminars and workshops for the awareness of different diseases.
• To finance the medical treatments at different hospitals/medical institutions for the benefit of general public
• To establish, maintain and cause to be maintained centers of medical research and to produce, publish and distribute newspaper, magazine and journals, video cassettes, compact and digital discs, books and other literature and communication media for this purpose and to run and manage the awareness program against different diseases such as HIV Aid, Hepatitis B, C, Cancer, T.B. Etc.
• To establish hospitals or financial support for the existing hospitals for the treatment of poor and needy persons
• To import medical and surgical equipment for the treatment of poor and needy people with the collaboration of any other hospital, NGO or CBO
• To provide concrete guidance in promoting health education and train qualified health workers to provide education in health in collaboration with the society and micro communities.

(B)   EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

• To establish, manage, maintain, own, administer, promote and control educational institutions and computer literacy programs for the basic education and research in rural areas, for the welfare and uplift of general public.
• To provide scholarships, educational career support, educational loans and other incentives for the purpose of advancement of knowledge, education and literacy as welfare measure within Pakistan and specially to facilitate the students of remote and rural areas.
• To provide quality education facilities and free education including boarding and logging, books, stationery, school uniform and transportation

SPORTS

• To promote and develop centers for sports and sporting activities and encourage talent thereto and through them endeavor to bring about national integration and provide fields, grounds and other facilities and amenities including coaching and training facilities in developed and developing areas of the country.
• To organize national wide rallies and shows to bring the people of all four provinces closer and promote peace and brotherhood through sport activities
• To promote and organize activities such as bird watching, trekking, mountaineering, hunting, archery, camping, fishing, rock climbing and all other outdoor sports including but not limited to the Sports as defined under section 2(i) of the Sports (Development and Control) Ordinance, 1962.

(D)   SHELTER

• To provide temporary or build shelter / homes for disasters suffered families, abused women and their children and shelter needed families with training that can develop psychological peace and practical skills needed for increased self-sufficiency.
• To assist women, children, youth and men to develop alternative ways of handling power and resolving conflict.
• To give protection and institutional care to victims such as free boarding and logging facilities including all the necessities of life
• To establish shelter homes for the homeless with an object to restore their self- respect
• To establish, build or manage Hostels, Short Stay Homes, Rehabilitation Centers, shelters, Child Care centers and help line centers for women, children and drug addicts and needy persons

(E)   ENVIRONMENT, ENGINEERING, AGRICULTURE, WATER/IRRIGATION ETC.

• To assisting the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan in an efficient and effective pursuit of environments & engineering Development works by providing a source of financing particularly for poverty reduction and in environmental & engineering management activities, to develop a global partnership in line with our Govt: policies for development in Construction of Schools, colleges, houses, building roads, bridges for nonprofit basis agriculture, water sector/irrigation, rehabilitation, infrastructure, livelihood and Environments developments sectors.
• To install hand pumps in the needy area to provide clean drinking water to the people.
• To educate and train the farmers to adopt the sustainable way of farming, water management, watershed management, herbal plantation and processing for the uplift of small farmers

CULTURE AND FESTIVALS

• To establish, manage, maintain, own, administer and promote Culture shows and festivals to promote national integration, communal harmony, universal brotherhood and peace
• To assisting, helping and promoting the foreign tourist and local Pakistani tourist during their tour and presented the Hidden beauty of Pakistan
• To encourage and promote family welfare activities among needy people
• To make arrangements for the celebration of main festivals in Pakistan i.e. Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid ul Azha and Independence Day
