Association for Rehabilitation of the Physically Disabled -ARPD

Association for Rehabilitation of the Physically Disabled (ARPD) is a well-known organization. The organization is a widely recognized non-governmental organization that strives to improve the lives of underdeveloped and vulnerable communities with special focus on Persons with Disabilities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The organization started its activities from the grass root level and now working at provincial and country level. ARPD is playing an effective role in the uplift of the health and living condition of persons with disabilities. It was founded for the well-being of people with disabilities. It was established in 1985 under the Social Welfare Act. Further, ARPD established a Rehabilitation Center for the Physically Disabled (RCPD) in Peshawar. RCPD has so far provided relief and rehabilitation services to thousands of people with Physical Disabilities.

History:

It is a project of Association for Rehabilitation of Physically Disabled (ARPD), which is a charitable organization established under the Social Welfare Department. The great Mrs. Farhat Rehman was laid down the foundation of ARPD in 1985. After some time, she established a rehabilitation center for physically disabled people in Peshawar.
