Change for Sustainable Development Initiatives (CSDI) is a gender-sensitized, down-to-earth & forward looking organization. It has embarked with celebrating International Women’s Day on March 08, 2017 in Hyderabad. CSDI is an innovative & creative approach that set priorities for identifying the target groups & the beneficiaries. It is aimed at capacity building & resources development. Therefore the priority one would be given to skilled men & women. Subsequently capacity building of unskilled will be the next. It intends to work with multi-sectoral/dimensional approach to address the multiple human development needs that would lead to contribute towards attending sustainable development goals particularly set for the province & country.
It’s primary objective would be to address the priority sectoral challenges ranging from health and education to ending poverty and achieving gender equality, through to tackling climate change and utilizing natural resources sustainably. The objectives underpin good governance and integrate three dimensions of sustainable development – economic development, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability. Going forward, new models of public-private partnership need to be tested. It would create a multifarious platform where civil society members & organizations shall be engaged, the private sector, research universities, think-tanks and professional associations. The SDGs are perhaps the best vehicle to lift more than 50 million people out of poverty when they earn less than two dollars a day by enriching their lives and livelihood options. Delivering on these goals will also help enhance Pakistan’s ability to emerge as one of the world’s leading economies and, while doing so, strengthen national security.
