  • GNMI, a prominent media-development organization, is seeking a highly skilled Communications Manager to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive communication strategies aligned with the organization's mission.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Communication Planning:
      • Develop and implement an annual communication plan tailored for the GNMI, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
      • Create strategies to highlight the impact and achievements of GNMI's projects and initiatives.
    • Donor and Stakeholder Communication:
      • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, partner organizations, and stakeholders in the development sector.
      • Develop communication materials aimed at keeping donors informed about project progress and outcomes.
    • Content Development:
      • Oversee the creation of compelling content, including reports, articles, and multimedia materials, to effectively communicate GNMI's impact and mission.
      • Ensure content is tailored to resonate with diverse audiences, including donors and the general public.
      • Collect and assemble data and contextual information with regards to the project; draft and edit articles, press releases, media interest stories, and other advocacy information material.
    • Media and Public Relations:
      • Collaborate with media outlets to secure coverage of GNMI's activities in the development sector.
      • Respond to media inquiries and facilitate interviews to enhance the organization's visibility.
    • Internal Collaboration:
      • Work closely with project managers and programme teams to gather information and insights for effective communication.
      • Ensure internal staff is aligned with communication strategies and messaging.
    • Monitoring and Evaluation:
      • Develop metrics and systems to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies.
      • Regularly assess and adjust strategies based on performance metrics.
    • Reporting Skills:
      • Manage the production of comprehensive quarter/annual reports for both individual projects and the organization as a whole.
      • Ensure reports effectively communicate project milestones, challenges, and impact.
    • Event Management and Engagement:
    • Host talks, panel discussions, and other engagement-driven activities being implemented by the organization.
Requirements
    • At least a bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field. (Master’s degree will be preferred)
    • At least 4-5 years of experience working with non-profit or development organization
    • Demonstrable project management and grants management experience
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.
    • Experience in creating and implementing successful communication plans.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in project and organizational reporting.
