Introduction

Community Management and Development Program (CMDP) is a national, multi-disciplinary, research and development focused, and non-profit organization, recognized under the societies registration act, 1860 in Pakistan. It was established in 2016 by a dedicated and visionary group of young professionals with a passion to support the individuals and communities to promote social cohesion and structure for the sustainable development in vulnerable areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province of Pakistan. CMDP is dynamically working at community level in ways that can lead to poverty alleviation, decent work and economic growth, displaced persons and disability support, quality education, green environment, productive youth-force and peaceful societies, and all other activities that support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by UN.

To meet such challenges, we are working under the four (4) key themes and programs as follows;

  • Youth empowerment and development
  • Community mobilization and organization for sustainable solutions
  • Environmental growth and protection
  • Disadvantaged group’s livelihood assistance

During 2016-22, we have completed several innovative assignments and projects as cross cutting themes and gained strong credibility through results-based-working with the local communities, national and international stakeholders, federal & provincial governments, and other partner organizations on various themes and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to achieve the SDGs, we are working with an aim to identify and formulate ‘need-oriented development approaches’ along with research-based activities to devise advanced policies and strategies to realize them on practical grounds. In addition, we particularly support the youth segment of the community to be the real changemakers and address the socioeconomic challenges within their respective societies using innovative approaches and solutions. Because we believe that youth is our hope for a sustainable future and society.
