Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Goal 1 No Poverty, Goal 4 Quality Education, Goal 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 13 Climate Action, Goal 16 Peace, Justice and Institutions, Goal 17 Partnerships for the Goals

Community Management and Development Program (CMDP) is a national, multi-disciplinary, research and development focused, and non-profit organization, recognized under the societies registration act, 1860 in Pakistan. It was established in 2016 by a dedicated and visionary group of young professionals with a passion to support the individuals and communities to promote social cohesion and structure for the sustainable development in vulnerable areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province of Pakistan. CMDP is dynamically working at community level in ways that can lead to poverty alleviation, decent work and economic growth, displaced persons and disability support, quality education, green environment, productive youth-force and peaceful societies, and all other activities that support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by UN.

To meet such challenges, we are working under the four (4) key themes and programs as follows;

  • Youth empowerment and development
  • Community mobilization and organization for sustainable solutions
  • Environmental growth and protection
  • Disadvantaged group’s livelihood assistance

During 2016-22, we have completed several innovative assignments and projects as cross cutting themes and gained strong credibility through results-based-working with the local communities, national and international stakeholders, federal & provincial governments, and other partner organizations on various themes and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to achieve the SDGs, we are working with an aim to identify and formulate ‘need-oriented development approaches’ along with research-based activities to devise advanced policies and strategies to realize them on practical grounds. In addition, we particularly support the youth segment of the community to be the real changemakers and address the socioeconomic challenges within their respective societies using innovative approaches and solutions. Because we believe that youth is our hope for a sustainable future and society.

CMDP's vision is a just society, where all communities have full access to social and economic wellbeing towards a sustainable world.

CMDP’s mission is to mobilize and organize the communities to strengthen their collective actions towards socioeconomic development and make them accomplished citizens into the global framework of the humanity.

According to the CMDP’s background and mission, we pay particular attention to the socioeconomic wellbeing of the societies towards a sustainable world. To this purpose, we set a broad circle of strategic objectives and goals that are highly dedicated for the positive changes in the lives of community by focusing on their problems and its possible solutions as follow;

  • To promote socioeconomic and educational conditions of the youth and women.
  • To improve the environmental health and conserve natural resources of the area through active participation of the local community.
  • To support communities in natural disasters and calamities by providing and channelizing relief.
  • To mobilize and organize the local community for collective actions and advocacy.
  • To support the vulnerable & disadvantaged groups of the community for alleviating their plight.
  • To uphold the leadership and governance qualities of the youth so that they become a source of real change in their local communities.
  • To deliver knowledge with practice that enables the youth and vulnerable community in proper utilization of the accessible resources.
  • To promote technical and vocational education to produce skilled and productive human capital towards a prosperous and nonviolent society.

To undertake research-based activities in social, economic and other areas of concern to formulate and devise appropriate development approaches and strategies to address the gap.

CMDP believes that participatory work approach can play a vital role as “Change Accelerator” to bring sustainable development in the lives of communities. To this purpose, CMDP prefers to implement its programs and projects across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) with like-minded organizations, youth groups, volunteers and interns, community workers, and professionals. In fact, CMDP is working under the vision-based-model to develop and maintain the livelihood of the community in all respects. Therefore, to address the soaring social problems and to pursue our vision, mission and set goals, we are following below program strategies and work approach;

  • Thematic partnerships with donor agencies and government
