Development Institutions Network - DIN

Development Institutions Network (DIN) is a network of 35 community-based organizations working in Sindh province. DIN established in 20th November-2000. Its main objective is to improve Administrative qualities of partner organizations so as they can lay down the foundation of sustainable development in their own areas. DIN forms the associations in those areas where there is not any CBO working.

At the time of its formation founder members have a motive to exhibit and expose their endowed abilities along with candid spirit of Social work. In order to achieve the goal; the organization started to proceed over the path of the progress firstly by utilizing endowed abilities and started perform stage programs for a cause of social development. Although at the time of organization's infancy there were few members yet it increased gradually by inducting suitable members, through interviews.

In 2004 the organization launched some casual Projects coupled with carrying out many activities very successfully. In 2002 the need for restructuring the organization was felt, for its further expansion.

At now, DIN is benefiting more than 35 CBOs of its well-designed integrated activities. These Programs were given the shape of implementation through its team.

Development Institutions’ Network was established by a group of young and energetic people who were highly motivated and committed for contributing their time, skills and energies for the development and empowerment of socially disadvantaged and vulnerable communities in Pakistan and addressing poverty issues and gender based discriminations.

Mission
Our mission is strengthen and support community based organizations and public interest institutions of sindh for the benefit or poor and disadvantaged sections of society for sustainable development through a participatory approach.

Objective
To address for the developmental issues such as empowerment through literacy, income generation, health, Education,population, environment, and Unemployment.

To address human rights issues such as gender social discriminations, child labor and drug addiction by launching advocacy and lobbing campaigns by means of partner CBO, VO and NGOs.

To infuse the spirit of development cooperation coordination and good will and organizational capability amongst member CBO.

To spread development activities with main thrust in vulnerable communities.

To provide a forum to other distritct government,donor organization with networking organization to work to gather for the development of the community.

This forum will spare all energies for the sustainable development of the community.
