Introduction

Diabetes Associatioan Charsadda kp is a registered Welfare Non Governmental, non-profitable and developmental organization Established in 1984,  Working for improvement of health facilities of Diabetes Patients.                      The organization is working since long for healthy environment and physically healthy community.

Diabetes Associatioan Charsadda have a Diabetic Health care center which is providing basic health education about Diabetes to effected patients, so as to control over the long management disease.Undetected and uncontrolled Diabetic mellitus gives rise to serious complication like loss of eyesight, heart attack and infections in the body’s on and so forth. Ignorance and poverty are the greatest drawbacks in the detection and control of the disease because it is a long life disease, needing utmost care in all aspect of this disease and unless the patient knows the disease and its

implications thoroughly, it becomes very difficult to control and mange it properly. Poverty and lake of financial resources are great hindrance in making awareness and control over this disease in the day to day increased population.

About 50 % people with diabetes is unaware of their condition and due non disseminations of sufficient information the situation is increasing up to 75 % in the country

Diabetes education has been important component of management of Diabetes patient and his family. The focus of care has shifted from mere survival of diabetes patients to that of his leading a normal healthy life. Diabetic education is the corner stone of the diabetes management and is vital to the integration of the diabetic person into the society.

Total 938 Type I and 2735 type II  patients are permenant  registered with the organization and the following services are provided to Diabetic Patients on daily basis. The registered patients are increasing day by day. The services are provided with the financial support of community.

No Donor Agency has yet been supported the Program.
