Dua Foundation

DUA Foundation (DF) is a non-political, non-sectarian, and voluntary registered Non-Government Organization, Registered under Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860 with Joint Stock Companies, Government of Sindh. Vide Certificate of Registration of Societies KAR NO. 156 of 2013-14, situated at Karachi.

DUA Foundation is founded by a group of professionals from Karachi who are highly accomplished in their respective fields as well as armed with a built-in spirit of selfless social services. It has been serving people irrespective of their ethnicity, political and religious affiliation, caste, or creed in far-flung parts of Sindh, especially of District Tharparkar.

Our areas of endeavor are WASH, Health, Advocacy, Education, Environment, Poverty Alleviation, and Emergency Response. We have focused projects on Health, Water, Community Services, Emergency Response, and Economic Empowerment with the generous support and guidance of people and organizations. Our working methodology is based on involving all the stakeholders to plan and act. For this, we undertake a baseline survey, need assessment, budgeting, effective monitoring, and evaluation. The generous support of donors and philanthropists helps us fostering community mobilization, careful project construction, and rigorous long-term monitoring and evaluation.

DUA Foundation has established and maintaining NICU in Civil hospital Mithi Tharparkar, DHQ Umerkot, and DUA Bilquis Naz Hospital Karachi. DUA Foundation has completed nearly 1500+ water facilities under its “water for life” project which is benefitting more than 7 lacs (0.7 million) people in around 150 localities of rural and urban Sindh. 25 solar-powered submersible pumps have been installed in urban and rural Sindh for communities and 7 solar-powered submersible pumps have been installed in Sindh and KPK. 52 Agro farms have also been developed in Tharparkar. A fish farm is also constructed with success and now many others are on the way to Tharparkar. With the early appearance of the pandemic of COVID-19, DUA Foundation provided PPEs and other items to more than 50 public sector and charity hospitals. Healthcare apparatus (Oximeters, oxygen cylinders, etc) also provided to the home isolated patients affected by COVID-19. DUA Foundation is also distributing ration in the vulnerable communities in Sindh during the lockdown.
