Farmers Development Organization - FDO

Farmers Development Organization (FDO) is a PCP certified entity, registered as a not for profit and non-governmental public interest organization under Section 42 of The Companies Ordinance 1984.FDO has become a symbol of strenuous efforts, unparalleled activism and a passion for making an Impact, in South Punjab. We are humbled by our history of two decades, which is a myriad of the accounts of the communities that are more aware, educated, empowered, employed, and socially engaged ever since we intervened there. We have successfully implemented more than fifty projects benefiting thousands of men, women and children to enable their social and economic well being.

As we move forward to our vision of a developed society, we continue to seek inspiration from, and follow our core values of “persistence” and “respect for the individual”. Our people remain at the forefront of our organizational planning and strategy, their development and fulfillment makes us what we are today.FDO, owning to its team of dedicated professionals and strong ties with civil society, aspires to make its homeland an envy of the world

Mission
To develop and strengthen the disadvantaged and vulnerable segments of society for the realization of their rights by means of collective action through social mobilization, capacity building, facilitating provision of basic amenities, livelihood support and evidence-based advocacy.

Objective
Strengthening citizens voices and capacity building to demand just, democratic, transparent and accountable governance
Promoting communal harmony among the people of different religious and political denominations
Provision and improving governance of social services
Improving access of marginalized sections to the socio-economic opportunities for decent livelihood and realization of basic rights
Protecting lives and livelihoods of vulnerable communities in disaster/conflict situations
