Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition - GAIN

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a private Swiss foundation headquartered in Geneva. GAIN’s mission is to reduce malnutrition through sustainable strategies aimed at improving the health and nutrition of populations at risk. GAIN supported programs are reaching over 800 million vulnerable people in more than 40 countries with affordable nutritious food.

GAIN has been operating in Pakistan through a local branch office of the Swiss foundation since 2007, under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan has been a key stakeholder to work with in ensuring production and consumption of Fortified Foods including Wheat Floor, Edible oil and Salt iodization.
