Introduction

Humanitarian Organization for Poverty Elimination (HOPE) founded in 2005, is a FATA and KP based nonpolitical, non-profitable and non-governmental organization registered in 2011. It is registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 as well as with the Social Welfare Department FATA, established to unite the deprived and scattered masses of the FATA and KP at one platform so that they could realize their true potential and become a driving force in the global movement for the development of humanity at large.

The major interventions of the organization encompass various sectors including Education (Universal Primary Education, non-formal and formal Education, Adult Literacy), Water and Sanitation (WASH), Health (Primary health care services, mobile/static medical centers, MNCH and psychosocial support services),Women and Youth Empowerment, Relief and Rehabilitation, Livelihoods (Vocational skill trainings, job creation and placement, Agro business, livestock, poultry), Disaster Risk Reduction (Awareness, Advocacy, micro-level planning, capacity building, preparedness & management), Environment Protection as carpet themes of the organization.

 

Vision
The organization envisages a poverty free and socio-economically developed Pakistan where justice prevails and all citizens are equally valued irrespective of their gender, political opinion, religion and ethnicity.

 

Mission
The Organization strives to improve human lives standards through provision of access to social services and enhance the capabilities of people to attain optimal “human capital and development” outcomes on the basis of need and equity within the consolidated means of civil society.

 

Objective
Development and advancement of the communities to counter widespread hunger and basic needs through enrichment of livelihoods, agriculture, securing of safe drinking water and sanitation sources, preferment for uplifting of education/literacy and augmenting the basic health services within a secure compound/shelter.
Creating legal and human rights awareness and empowerment among the general public particularly the underprivileged sections of the society i.e. women, minorities, persons with disabilities and other neglected groups of population through legal aid and strengthening the rule of law.
Preservation and restoration of environment and capacity building of societies on Disaster Risk Management and its Reduction to minimize the loss of lives caused by tragedies.
