Needy Poor People Foundation Pakistan

Introduction and Background
Needy Poor People Foundation (NPPF) is a nonprofit and non-governmental organization working in rural remote areas of Pakistan. It is a development cum advocacy organization aiming to bring about change through a multidisciplinary approach of poverty alleviation, livelihoods development, environmental conservation and policy advocacy. Registered under the Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan Companies Act, NNPF has a proven track record of working for the cause of poor and needy people through a participatory approach of community-based development. Given the increasing poverty and limited sport for the poor, the organization was established by a group of civic-minded people to challenge the status quo as well as promoting social accountability and transparency in planning, decision making and implementation levels.

Over the last one year, NPPF is working as civil society organizations supporting marginalized communities in their livelihoods management, building their capacity to earn their livelihoods and advocating for participatory management of natural resources as a mean to livelihoods security. It worked with a spirit to serve humanity without any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed and gender. While committed to the well-being of masses, NPPF has a brief history of working with all segments of society even with little resources and expertise, thus becoming a role model at a local level.

In its working methodology,  it follows a participatory rural development model wherein development is conceived and realized by the concerned stakeholders. While considering the development of a holistic phenomenon, NNPF follows a holistic approach wherein people are at the centre of development planning and decision making as primary key stakeholders.
