Olive’s Trust Pakistan

Olive’s Trust Pakistan (OTP) was established and registered in year 2005 under Trust Act 1882 of the government of Pakistan in district Haripur by a dedicated group of highly motivated and socially committed people from different walks of life including women and youth with a goal to serve the humanity and nature. They contributed their resources; time, skills and energies for the development and welfare of socially disadvantaged and vulnerable communities starting from remote valleys of Haripur KPK and expanding over the deserts of Sind, Punjab and Baluchistan.
OTP is a mission-driven Trust with non-sectarian, non-political and non-profit making agenda based on the principles of a sustainable social entrepreneurship (SSE). With SSE as the key approach OTP exists to undertake research, educational, humanitarian, developmental & social welfare programs and projects to materialize its vision of a “pluralist and just world free of sufferings and fears”.
Sustainable Social Investment (SSI), HID, ICT4D, Social Mobilization and Advocacy are main tools and strategies of intervention while core values and principles of human dignity, natural diversity, democratic governance, transparency and accountability, social inclusion, self-reliance and sustainability remain centric and guiding in OTP’s work. OTP takes seriously the principles of participatory development to sustainably transform millions of lives across various sectors and strongly advocates for rights based participatory approaches to development from policy to practice and vice versa.
OTP helps people, organizations and leaders to come together and lead a positive & sustainable change in attitudes, practices and policies towards prioritizing and combating social problems by organizing them at grass root, regional and national level and triggers this change through social dialogues, spiritual motivation, awakening and mobilizing the actors through testing & innovating various IPC, print, electronic and social media tools and techniques.
Based on its self-reliance and social entrepreneurship philosophy, OTP has successfully tested itself and existed for thirteen years since 2005 without any direct donor funded projects or support, instead it preferred Local Philanthropy and SSE/SSI projects like OAKS Schools System and Olive’s Clinics, Consulting Services and Partnerships etc.
