Organization for Development and Peace -ODP

Organization for Development and Peace operates as a Non-Governmental Organization and works on Non-Profit basis and is operational in Punjab-Pakistan. ODP has been in existence since October 2002 and was officially registered on October 23, 2003 under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860 in Pakistan vide Registration No. RM/169/S/2003-04. ODP also fulfills its lawful obligation by being registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) vide National Tax Number 3685400-0. ODP works hand in hand with the grassroots people and with all those who believe in human liberation or have committed themselves for this noble cause.

Mission
To strengthen local community groups and civil society institutions to take participatory social action that ensures equitable human development and promotes the culture of peace and tolerance

Objective
To work for the promotion of formal and non-formal education and social education/development in urban and rural areas
To work for the promotion of human values, relationship and growth, to enhance social and economic equality in the society.
To carry out researches to realize the objectives of human and civil society particularly in rural areas
To promote and strengthen the religious tolerance, harmony and social justice particularly for marginalized people
To organize seminars/workshops/conferences in connection with advocacy for the weaker sections of the society
To launch emergency appeals during the natural and man-made disasters such as floods, heavy rains, evictions etc.
To organize and mobilize grass roots communities for development action through conscientization process
To work along with Government Organizations and other civil society organizations working for social development
