Introduction

Participatory Village Development Programme (PVDP) is a locally registered humanitarian organization established in 1997. It was started by a group of dedicated human development professionals out of compassion rooted in the love, care and protection of lives and mitigation of sufferings of the most poor and disadvantaged communities in the Province of Sindh, Pakistan. The organization is committed to raise awareness and understanding of the causes of poverty and injustices to inspire a commitment to lasting change. PVDP is formed with a motive to challenge those with power to adopt policies and behaviors that promote social justice and end poverty. PVDP is committed to work with poor and disadvantaged communities in Sindh to overcome poverty and bring about sustainable development and well being. The end product of PVDP work will be reflected in the form of peace, justice, dignity and better life for all, particularly the poor and vulnerable communities of Sindh.
