Introduction

Peace for Change is a not for profit organization registered under Societies Registration Act (Act XXI of 1860), Registration No, RM 29 of 2010, mainly focusing on Peace, Gender, Environment protection and Health and Education.

Peace for Change is strongly engaged with local and national stakeholders to work towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals including poverty and reducing hunger, promoting gender equality and promoting health related knowledge and empowerment of women, increasing environmental sustainability, and building a global partnership for development. Since its establishment in 2010, Peace for Change strength has been derived from its consistent commitment to its mandate to identify and address the problems of vulnerable communities that relate to their need and the characteristics, of rural areas that distinguish them from the urban and which are often not addressed in the mainstream plans and policies of government. The organization built the conceptual and empirical basis for understanding and addressing rural issues and demonstrated the value of the rural perspective for the Southern Punjab.
