Introduction

SACH- Struggle for Change is committed to work towards violence and torture free society. It achieves this by sensitising people and providing a variety of services to the beneficiaries including marginalized and vulnerable groups of people including children and women, survivors of violence and torture, internally displaced individuals and refugees who are facilitated at grass-root level as well as with government and civil society organizations at the national level.  SACH adopts a multi-pronged approach, which is reflected in the diversity of the Programme and the tools used for the promotion of human rights of the survivors.

 

Vision
to see a violence free society, where human beings specially marginalized sections of the society could practice their rights with out any fear of being exploited and exposed to violence and torture.

Objective
To initiate work for the elimination of all forms of institutionalised Human Rights Abuses.
To raise consciousness against torture, violence and cruel inhuman treatments and punishments and to organize public meetings and seminars for advocacy.
Training professionals to work with victims of torture.
To provide feedback to the government on policy implications regarding all forms of institutionalised traumatic Human Rights Abuses.
To work with a multidisciplinary approach to provide the survivors with services they require and to reach out to the survivors, like in prisons.
To coordinate with other national and international Human Right Groups.
