Soch Development Foundation

Soch Development Foundation (SDF) is registered, an independent, non-profit, non-political, non-governmental, non-sectarian humanitarian and development organization. This organization came into being with determination, commitment, and dedication by the team of energetic people of both sexes in 2005. It has registered under the society Act 1860/21 Pakistan. SDF initiated its practical work since 2005 with focusing on the principal of low cost and community driven.

SDF since its inception has made substantial and widely acknowledged contributions in alleviating people’s suffering in state. Besides delivering quality result on human welfare, development and humanitarian programmes the organization has strategically built it grass root network of “community based organizations” and have forged alliances and partnership with NGOs, INGOs, and other humanitarian and development sectors and institutions. The approach adopt by SDF involved around the principal of community participation by encouraging local marginalize communities to creates asserts through enhancing their entrepreneur skills. As today SDF believes in and practice low cost income generating initiatives with multifaceted impact on the household economy of the targeted population.

Mission of SOCH is to contribute towards consciousness of child rights by engaging key stakeholders in multiple ways. We strive to achieve this through:

Enhancing access to quality health services.
Increasing access and quality of education.
Protecting children from neglect, abuse and exploitation
Expanding livelihoods opportunities for the poor.
Improving community physical infrastructure, and
Developing institutional capacities for disaster risk reduction.

Objective
Reducing discrimination promoting equality and strengthen capacity of vulnerable community to assert their rights.
Provide education, health and agricultural support in community.
Supporting women development in the rural areas and discouraging gender discrimination through concentrated efforts of public awareness.
Promoting peace through interfaith dialogue.
Promote skill development for alleviation of poverty.
Build coordination between public, private, social sectors and community.
Promote volunteerism and build capacity of volunteers, social workers, youth, stake holders, through advocacy.
Affected participation with Govt. and public sectors to achieve MDGs.
