State Development Organization -SDO

A non-governmental, impartial and humanitarian organization, working for deprived, marginalized and socially excluded portions of the civil society. SDO-Pakistan has its head office at Islamabad and Regional Office in Swat. The organization was formed in February 1998 and was first registered under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Ordinance 1961 (XLVI 1961) in September 2002, followed by registration under Societies Act 1860 (XXI 1860) in 2010. SDO has also been registered with FATA Social Welfare Department vide No DSW/FATA/173 in 2015. SDO has worked with several international Organizations, donors& government on multi sector projects.

Mission
To develop alternate leadership of socially excluded portions of the civil society from grass roots level and enhance their will power and livelihood, to take up responsibility by sharing of information and confirmation of participation in decision making process at all level through democratic methods for effective social context and speeding up social change”.
