WaterAid launched its programme in Pakistan in 2006. We have helped marginalised communities establish sustainable water supplies and sanitation services. We have also influenced government policy-makers to serve the interests of vulnerable people.
WaterAid's strategy in Pakistan is to work through local partners to improve hygiene behaviour and ensure people have access to water supply and sanitation services, with a special emphasis on:
Innovative approaches
Participatory methods
Women and other vulnerable groups
Hygiene promotion
Monitoring and evaluation
Sustainability
We are working with nine partner organisations in eight districts of Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to bring change in the lives of those living without safe water and sanitation.
Vision
a world where everyone, everywhere has safe water, sanitation and hygiene
Mission
