Women Development Community Organization -WDCO

WDCO is a development success story in south east region of Balochistan, spreading humanitarian assistance to the needy and vulnerable community in Balochistan. WDCO started its field operations in Jaffarabad district in the year 2000 and Women Development & Community Organization (WDCO) was established in the month of year 2000 and the organization is registered under Social Welfare Act 1961 and WDCO has also been registered with Government of Balochistan under societies’ act 1860 in 2012. WDCO envisions a society in which all citizens, irrespective of their gender, class, religion or sect, have equal opportunity for growth, and participation in local and national affairs. From the outset, partnership with selected CBOs was developed and efforts were made to enhance managerial and technical capacities of individuals and institutions.

WDCO has organized the poor with using communities’ own skills, WDCO catalyses lasting change, creating an environment in which the vulnerable and needy have the chance to seize control of their own lives.

WDCO had been doing with a comprehensive and progressive approach gearing towards enclosure, by tackling like emergency responses, education, healthcare, legal services, community empowerment, social enterprises and Water, Sanitation WASH. Our work now touches the lives of an estimated 480000 people, with staff and WDCO trained social activists in Balochistan.
