Education and Youth Development Grants | PAK-NGOs
The Asian Community Trust (ACT) has announced a Concept Papers for 2018 Local Projects on Education and Youth Development that aims to build a “Bridge of Mutual Help and Resource Sharing” in civil societies across Asia.
To pursue this aim, ACT assists projects developed by local people’s groups, NGOs and other civil society organizations with the purpose of improving people’s quality of life in their own communities and sharing their successes with others.
Grant Information
The amount of a grant is up to 1,000,000 Japanese yen for one year which may be extended from three (3) years, depending on the nature of the project and the results of its performance.
  • For the fiscal year 2018, ACT is calling for concept papers for projects in Asia concerned with the formal / informal education of children / youth under difficult circumstances living in urban, rural (including fishing villages) and upland areas through providing scholarship or any other forms of providing educational activities, educational materials, school uniforms and other necessary items.
  • The ACT Secretariat evaluates funded projects at the end of each year and reserves the decision to continue to provide support or not for the following year.
  • Countries in Asia (as defined by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)) that are eligible to apply for an ACT grant are the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) recipient countries (mentioned below).

How to Apply

For those interested in applying for an ACT grant, please submit a concept paper (two to three pages long, A4 size) discussing the basic ideas about your proposed project. Please provide the following information:
