Who is KPG?
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governance Project (KPG) is a 4-year program funded by USAID which aims to support transitional activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province that promote democratic processes, strengthen the ability of provincial government to be responsive to citizen needs, and create opportunities for gender equality and women’s empowerment. The end goal of the activities supported by KPG is to bring about positive changes in attitude, perceptions and behavior about the quality of governance in the province.
What is the S-APS looking to fund?
This S-APS is seeking applicants to propose creative and effective approaches that will improve stabilization and governance in the KP province andfive target districts i.e. Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Kohat and Bannu. Broadly, these approaches could include activities that have a positive impact on women and youth, local governance, service delivery, economic development, public awareness and/or perception about government. Applicants may choose among a range of initiatives or scale up small projects that demonstrate success.
In order to meet minimum eligibility criteria for grant award, the applicant or its concept paper application must:
· Be a civil society or private-sector organization,officially registered in Pakistan
· Demonstrate how they are contributing resources from their own private or local sources for the implementation of this program (at least 5%of total grant must be cost-shared).
· Be submitted by the deadline as stated in the S-APS
· Not be affiliated with a political party

The concept paper must be submitted by email to: KPGgrants@dai.com no later than the deadline on the cover page of this S-APS or subsequently announced deadlines if additional reviews are announced. All correspondence must include the relevant S-APS number and title.
