The WASH Officer reports to the WASH Manager (Level 4) for supervision. The WASH Officer provides technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the WASH programming process. The Officer prepares, manages and implements a variety of technical and administrative tasks related to the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the WASH output results of the country programme.

Education:

• A university degree (bachelor's) in one of the following fields is required: public health, social sciences, behavior change communication, sanitary engineering or another relevant technical field.

Work Experience:

• A minimum of two years of professional experience at the national and/or international levels on in WASH-related programmes
• Demonstrated capacity in WASH social and behavior change
• Demonstrated capacity in gender equality principles, gender sensitive programming and gender issues in the WASH sector
• Demonstrated capacity in menstrual health and hygiene management
• Demonstrated experience to deliver through effective working relationships both within and outside an organization
• Demonstrated capacity to develop WASH reports
• Excellent analytical and writing skills
• Expertise in at least two of the following areas: knowledge management, multi-sectoral programme implementation, integrated approach

Language Requirements:

• Fluency in English is required.
