The Charles Wallace Visiting Fellowship Programme is inviting applications to enable mid-career professionals across a broad range of disciplines to undertake short visits to the United Kingdom to broaden their professional knowledge, skills and contacts.
The programme supports high-level study and research, professional networking, interaction with peers, the social sciences and humanities, the arts and creative industries, environmental sciences, and medical sciences. Fellowships may take the form of an attachment with a university department, professional institution, or arts organisation in the United Kingdom.
The fellowship duration ranges from two weeks to a maximum of two months. Successful applicants will receive funding of £1,600 per month along with a contribution of up to £1,250 towards visa and travel costs. Fellowship holders will be responsible for arranging their accommodation and other stay-related arrangements in consultation with their host organisation in the United Kingdom.
Applicants must be Pakistani nationals residing in Pakistan and should be between 30 and 55 years of age. Candidates are required to provide a written invitation from a UK institution or arts body for the proposed fellowship period. Applicants planning to undertake research in a UK university are normally expected to hold a doctoral degree. Applications are only accepted in the eligible disciplines specified under the programme.
Applicants who have studied in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, or China within the last five years are not eligible to apply. Previous recipients of Charles Wallace awards are also ineligible. Applicants are advised not to use Artificial Intelligence tools to draft or improve their support statements, as indications of AI-generated content may lead to disqualification.
