Recently Pakistan Country Office have undertaken numerous important data collection activities Like MICS, CLS and have made remarkable efforts to generate knowledge and lessons learned. However, the major gap has been always the capacity to perform in-depth analysis and use data to foster policy dialogue and policy changes in the country. Further efforts are needed to value, disseminate and synthesize that knowledge and promote its use. Strong capacity is needed to support UNICEF interface with partners, academics, and policy makers and UN sister agencies to position UNICEF as an evidence broker for children and young people in the region.
The primary function of this post is to connect analytics, monitoring and learning to support evidence-based advocacy, conduct visualizations as well as to be a knowledge broker and support improved results for children. This post provides leadership, oversight and technical capacity for the responsible analysis and use of data and information within UNICEF as well as with its partners. It includes technical support to field Offices in their own data and information analysis work to inform policy changes.
