The increasing scale and complexity of education data, digital platforms, and results-based management requirements under SCG, STG, and UNICEF's broader Education Programme in Sindh necessitate dedicated technical capacity within UNICEF to support system design, data integration, quality assurance, analytics, and effective use of education data for decision-making.

Under the supervision of the Education Manager (P4), the Education Officer (Data and Systems) will play a key rote in supporting SELD and UNICEF to institutionalize data-driven governance, strengthen monitoring and evaluation systems, and ensure that digital investments translate into improved service delivery, enhanced accountability, and sustained gains in learning outcomes across the province. The Officer will lead the planning and implementation of education data digitization and systems integration initiatives, with a strong emphasis on building SELD's institutional capacity and government ownership of data infrastructure, systems, and processes.

Duties and responsibilities for the post are as under:

The position’s location is Karachi with travel to Sindh districts as required as part of programme implementation and monitoring.

• Education: Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Education, Public Policy, Statistics, Economics, or other Social Science field is required.Specialized degree/courses with practical experience of dealing with education management information and data systems will be preferred.
• Work Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in Programme Planning, Management, and/ or Research in Education is required. Relevant experience in education data analysis, management information systems and monitoring systems is required.
• Skills: Data Analytics and Visualization, Business Intelligence, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Key Performance Indicators.
• Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Urdu is required, and Sindhi preferred.

Desirables:

• Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
• Experience working in budget support or technical assistance context is desirable.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
