Should have hands-on experience in managing/commissioning of the WASH projects i.e., water filtration plant; UF, UV, RO (Reverse Osmosis) plants, Hand Pumps, Solar Base Water scheme, and monthly backwash and cartage changes.
Should have knowledge in Pre-treatment, dosing calculation, process analysis, UF, RO (Reverse Osmosis), UV system, Chlorination, HRSCC, USAB, Softener plant, etc.
Should be able to handle client/consultant/contractor independently.
Should have up-to-date knowledge of the use of equipment in water filtration systems
Should know water borehole and construction.
Should know CBO formation, Community meetings, conflict resolution skills, O&M training, and O&M fund management.
Develop technical terms of all contracts’ documents, BOQs, specification and all formal agreements of WFPs and WASH construction activities.
Supervise and be responsible for all the technical aspect for project implementation, make sure that contractors complete project work in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner with respect to standard engineering.
Provide feedback to the Area Office to assess the effectiveness and the impact of the projects and propose recommendations for improvement
Contribute to the development of constructive solutions to challenges identified by the community and contractors.
Provide regular written and verbal reports to the Area Program Coordinator /Area Manager on the infrastructure development activities.
With the help of the Area Program manager and head of office, develop and maintain weekly and monthly plans and written comprehensive records of engineering work undertaken in the project, including site visits and reporting
of work progress.
In close coordination with the WASH consultant, provide technical inputs in designing of BOQs, considering the on-ground needs and requirements, including but not limited to water quality, TDS, resistivity test (If required), and
water table/water column for the required bore depth.
Requirements
DAE / B.Sc / BE / B.Tech in Chemical / Water / Environments or Civil Engineering with 3 Years of Experience.
Excellent knowledge of water systems related networks (Water filtration systems, pipe materials, network accessories & valves, etc.).
Commitment to beneficiary accountability and humanitarian principles.
Computer skills.
Local language with Urdu and English language skills (spoken and written).
Proven ability to build the capacity of partner/local organizations and community organization an advantage.
Previous experience working with INGOs, NGOs (WASH), or public water and sanitation authorities is a distinct advantage.
High level of engineering designing programs / WASH (AutoCAD, Water CAD & MS Office, etc.).
