Introduction

Health & Rural Development Foundation,(HRDF) is a non profit  community  development  organization, officially registered with  the  Provincial  Joint  Stock  Companies  under  (Registration and control Ordinance 1860)  Society  Act , Government of Sindh, Pakistan in 2013.

The mission of HRDF is to built a self  reliant society, free from hunger, exploitation and poverty  through  quality  education,health  and  environment,  where  everyone  irrespective  of  cast , creed,  sex  and  language  have righ to dignified means of health,education and livelihoo  through collective and collaborative actions ensuring socioeconomic justice  and  ecological  balance.  HRDF  works  with  marginalized  communities  to  empower  the  poor and  weaker sections  of  the  society  through  organization  building  by  teaching  them  to  solve  their   own  problems  for  self  reliance  and  also  to  build  their  capacity  and  involving  them  in  development  processing  for  the  betterment of own-self  as well as the society in a broad sense.

 

Vision
To help build a society in Pakistan that ensures justice, gender equity, economic betterment and truly representative democracy by facilitating a tolerant and enlightened environment, which enables the pursuit of harmony with nature, and excellence in human creativity and conduct.

 

Mission
To built a self reliant society, free from hunger, exploitation and poverty through quality education, health and environment, where everyone irrespective of cast,creed, sex and language have right to dignified means of health, education and livelihood through collective and collaborative actions ensuring socio-economic justice and ecological balance

To empower the poor and weaker sections of the society through organization building by teaching them to solve their own problems for self reliance and also to build their capacity and involving them in development processing for the betterment of own-self as well as the society in a broad sense.

 

Objective
Our major objectives are to contribute to the society by helping the suppressed transform their lives and facilitate fellow altruists reach out genuinely needy people to help.As mentioned before, we plan to run programs in various sectors including education, health, livelihood, environment and sanitation.

Some of objectives are mentioned below:

To enroll children of school going age, who are out of school ,  to  schools  by  addressing their cause of remaining out of school.

To ensure accommodation, fooding, education and other basic needs of children who are staying as street children or are forced to work as child laborersto eke out a living.

To provide basic humanitarian facilities like accommodation, food and health to elderers and disabled people unable to do so for themselves.

To  run vocational  trainings  and  rehabilitate  women  who  are  forced  into  sex  or  related  trade not  by  choice,but out of plight. To run vocational  training to youths and  help  transform  their  lives  and  reduce  unemployment.

To  run  awareness  campaigns  on  health ,  environment  and  sanitation  to  improve  the  lives  of  people.

To  adult literary classes to transform the lives of the illiterate adults.

To conduct health camps   in   rural   parts   of the    country  to  provide  affordable  and  easier access to health facilities to the rural populace and help them get rid of easily curable diseases

To place volunteers from various countries in schools, health institutions, social organizations and other sectors of the community across the country.

To  Increase  participation  in  and  understanding  of  citizen  science  programs  related  to  climate change mitigation so that students learn the importance of being a good steward.

To share information about what the partner agencies are doing to address climate change.

To Understand  the role of citizens, public land management agencies, and nongovernmental organizations  in  protecting and conserving natural resources.

To bring together information from rural communities,indigenous peoples and research workers on how they use agrobiodiversity to cope with climate change.
