Helvetas Pakistan

Helvetas Pakistan is part of a network of independent development organizations. With head offices in Switzerland, Germany and the USA, Helvetas is working in 29 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. We bring about real change in the lives of over three million disadvantaged people every year. We implement development projects in the areas of water and sanitation, agriculture and nutrition, education, economic development, democracy and peace, and climate and the environment. Helvetas also provides emergency response after disasters. The objective of Helvetas is to help create a fairer world in which the basic needs of all men and women are satisfied and human rights are protected.

Core Projects and Focus Areas

• • Capacity-Building for Socially Diligent Agribusinesses (CSDA): An EU-funded initiative launched to strengthen human rights due diligence, labor standards, and responsible conduct within Pakistan's cotton and rice value chains (such as in Rahim Yar Khan and Lahore). [1, 2]
  • TVET Sector Support: Collaborating with GIZ Pakistan on monitoring and evaluation frameworks to improve technical and vocational education and training. [1]
