Background

- Foundational understanding of cross-platform application development to support the end-to-end technical delivery of our web platform and Android application.
- Focus on clean feature execution, learning scalable architectural patterns, and connecting front-end applications to AI models under senior guidance.
- Ideal role for a junior developer looking to expand their technical capabilities, adopt modern AI development workflows, and drive social impact within a collaborative, mission-driven team.
- Hands-on familiarity building basic backend services (e.g. Node.js, Python) and responsive web frontends (e.g. React, Next.js).
- Practical experience developing or assisting with Android applications using Kotlin, Java, or an Android-optimized cross-platform framework.
- Comfort with utilizing AI coding assistants (like Cursor or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate code delivery and consuming standard AI APIs (such as OpenAI or Anthropic).
- Exposure to deploying web applications onto cloud platforms (e.g. Vercel, AWS, or GCP) and generating Android build packages (APKs) for distribution or testing.
- Experience using Git for version control, managing individual tasks in GitHub repositories, and receiving constructive feedback during peer code reviews.
- A deep passion for social impact, a proactive willingness to learn new technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively within a lean team.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by senior management.
Requirements

- At least 3 years of software development experience executing structured programming tasks, completing features, and resolving technical bugs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (equivalent practical portfolio and experience will also be highly valued).
- Any certifications in Mobile Application Development, Cloud Architecture (AWS/GCP) or AI/Machine Learning integrations are a strong plus.
- Proven history of shipping and maintaining live web applications and at least one production-ready Android application.
