Background
  • Introduction of the Organization:

    Khwendo Kor (KK), meaning “Sisters’ Home” in Pashto, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 1993 under the Societies Act 1860. Since its inception, KK has been working tirelessly to promote the rights of women and children through education, health, sustainable livelihoods, advocacy and peace building. KK strives to create enabling environments where women and marginalized groups can thrive socially and economically.

    1. Background of the assignment:

    This assignment focuses on the three-day e-commerce training program for 30 women entrepreneurs in district Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The training will be organized for women from district Peshawar who meet the eligibility criteria and are already involved in business.

    The training is designed to equip women entrepreneurs with practical skills in online business development and digital marketing. It will cover the fundamentals of e-commerce platforms, product sourcing and pricing, online store set-up, digital payment systems, customer service, and order fulfilment. Participants will also learn branding, social media marketing, and basic digital advertising to promote their products effectively.

    In addition, the program will guide trainees in developing viable business and marketing plans, enabling them to launch or strengthen their online enterprises and improve their income-generating opportunities. These trained women will subsequently serve as role models within their communities, demonstrating how digital tools can be used to build sustainable, women-led businesses.

    1. Objective of the Assignment:

    The objectives of the training are to;

    • Provide a three-day training for 30 women entrepreneurs on e-commerce, business development, and marketing plans.
    • Build participants’ understanding of e-commerce platforms and how to set up and manage an online store.
    • Strengthen participants’ skills in product sourcing, pricing, digital payments, customer service, and order fulfilment.
    • Enhance participants’ knowledge of branding, social media marketing, and basic digital advertising.
    • Guide participants in developing individual, practical business and marketing plans for their enterprises.
    • Improve women’s income-generating opportunities by enabling them to launch or strengthen online businesses.

    Major Deliverables:

    • The expected deliverables from the three-day training include;
    • Design of training module/curriculum and delivery of three-day training sessions for 30 women entrepreneurs.
    • Development of participant handbook, presentation decks, and worksheets/templates for business and marketing plan development.
    • Individual business/marketing plan drafts for each participant.
    • Report (including a post-training evaluation, key learnings and recommendations).
    • Submission of training report and PPTs/handouts.
    • Pre- and post-test data will be analyzed, and the original hard copies will be shared.

    Duration of the Training:

    The duration of the training will be three days, delivered in district Peshawar for 30 women entrepreneurs.

    Participants and training venue:

    The costs pertaining to logistics and venue arrangements will be the responsibility of KK. In addition, KK will ensure the attendance of the trainees by provision of mobility cost to the venue. The boarding and lodging of the trainer will be undertaken by the selected trainer for this assignment. Ensuring the attendance of the trainees will be the responsibility of KK.

    Training Methodology:

    • Interactive presentations and demonstrations of e-commerce platforms and tools
    • Hands-on practical exercises (online store set-up, product listing, digital payments)
    • Group discussions and experience-sharing sessions
    • Case study analysis of successful women-led online businesses
    • One-on-one guidance for developing individual business and marketing plans
    • Reflection sessions for feedback and improvement
Requirements
  • Applicants must meet the following mandatory requirements:

     

    • Provide details of an active bank account in the name of the applicant/consultant for payment purposes.
    • Accept payments through crossed cheque and/or bank transfer in accordance with Khwendo Kor's financial procedures.
    • Provide a valid National Tax Number (NTN) certificate issued by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
    • Submit a copy of the applicant's Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
    • Agree to comply with all applicable tax deductions and financial regulations as per the Government of Pakistan and organizational policies.
    • Submit a signed declaration confirming acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in the ToR and contract.

    Qualifications for the assignment

    Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Business Administration, Marketing, E-Commerce, Digital Media, or a related field.

    Experience: At least 5 years of experience designing and delivering training on e-commerce, digital marketing, or business development, preferably for women entrepreneurs or in community-based/development settings.

    Technical Knowledge: Strong practical knowledge of e-commerce and digital marketing platforms, social media marketing tools, and digital payment systems relevant to the local market.

    Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage participants and deliver content.

    Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to understand and address local cultural context, with fluency in Urdu and/or Pashto in addition to English.
